Hi! I’m Ashley Seashore. I’ve worked in the San Francisco tech scene for nearly twenty years — from the olden days of Facebook overtaking Friendster to the introduction of the no-longer newfangled concept of the cloud, and now here I am supporting AI startups as they navigate their into the world.
But I don’t just work with AI. One of the things I’ve loved about my work is that I can easily jump in to solve problems and set direction for nearly any type of tech (except crypto — sorry, that one eluded me). Because of this, I’ve worked with on an incredible range of projects and launches, from two-dudes-in-their-basement suddenly get massive funding from a Top 3 VC to stealthy launches and research on behalf of a major social media company.
Lately, I’ve taken on fractional senior leadership roles with agencies to help with project-based work that they want to convert to ongoing and also to simply help with the human part of agency life – namely, sabbaticals, maternity leave, and other reasons people need a longer break from their day-to-day. I’ve enjoyed being able to drop in, learn quickly, move things forward, and make a positive impact, and in the process I’ve gotten to see quite a broad swath of client service, team development, and agency growth. I’ve learned what tends to work consistently (e.g., data-applied strategy, strong client relationship), where even strong teams can struggle (e.g., taking those strong client relationships for granted), and how thoughtful leadership and creative problem-solving can make a meaningful difference, both for clients and for the people doing the work.
If you’d like to talk, I hope you’ll get in touch.
